“TAY DO – RADIANT SUMMER COLOURS” Can Tho Culture and Tourism Rendezvous 2026

Can Tho City Culture and Tourism Week 2026, themed “Tay Do – Radiant Summer Colours,” will be held from June 18 to 21, 2026, at Ninh Kieu Wharf (Ninh Kieu Ward, Can Tho City). This large-scale event serves as a useful and practical platform for businesses, promoting the role and strengths of each sector and locality in linking cultural and tourism development, gradually turning tourism into a spearhead economic sector that makes an important contribution to the city’s economy.

Opening the event is the Opening Ceremony at 7:00 PM on June 18, 2026, on the main stage at Ninh Kieu Wharf. The programme integrates the introduction of new tourism products alongside unique experience tours and routes, promising to bring a fresh breeze to the tourism market.

The highlights of the event include the Tourism Promotion and Demand Stimulation Space, which displays tourism publications, materials, typical souvenir products, and OCOP (One Commune One Product) items of the city; and the Culinary Space, where artisans will perform and introduce Can Tho City’s signature dishes. Visitors will not only enjoy the food but also have the opportunity to experience “Savour the Flavours of Tay Do”, featuring free folk cake buffets and fruit buffets.

After dark, Ninh Kieu Wharf will become more vibrant with diverse art performances from June 19 to 21, specifically as follows:

– June 19: A unique combination of traditional arts including Đờn ca tài tử (Southern Amateur Music) and Hò Cần Thơ (Can Tho Chanting) with youthful, modern street music performances.

– June 20: Enjoying Southern Vietnamese folk songs and traditional folk dances of the Mekong Delta.

– June 21: Immersing in the vibrant Street Music Programme.

In addition, the Can Tho Beautiful Tourism Photo Exhibition, comprising nearly 50 artistic works, will be displayed throughout the entire event, helping visitors gain a more comprehensive and profound view of the natural beauty, cultural identity, and human life of the city.

A key professional highlight of the Week is the Scientific Conference “Evaluating the Current State of Can Tho’s Tourism Destination and the Application of Digital Transformation in the New Context” scheduled for 8:00 AM on June 20 at the conference hall of TTC Hotel. The conference will bring together experts, scientists, and business representatives to discuss trends in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) in destination management and promotion.

Not limited to Ninh Kieu Wharf, the event also extends to and connects with the 20th Nhon My River and Garden Festival 2026 at My Phuoc Islet, the Tan Loc Fruit Orchard Festival 2026 on Tan Loc Islet, as well as orchard sites and tourist destinations across various communes and wards throughout the city.

Can Tho City Culture and Tourism Week 2026 is an attractive invitation to visitors, a promotional activity for the cultural identity, local produce, people, and land of Can Tho, contributing to tourism stimulation and creating conditions for tourism businesses to promote and introduce their programmes, products, and services during the 2026 summer peak season. At the same time, it strengthens linkages among the tourism, agriculture, and industry and trade sectors with the communes and wards of the city, in order to support tourism enterprises, orchard owners, and OCOP product manufacturers in introducing their products.
